What is Joint Biology and Mathematics ?

Biology and Mathematics is an interdisciplinary program in Biology that fosters a deep understanding of complex biological phenomena and of the mathematical and statistical tools employed in their analysis. The program offers different streams in both subjects, allowing students to follow their inclinations and to specialize their degree. In Biology, one can decide to focus on either Evolution and Evolutionary Ecology, Molecular Evolution or Neurosciences. In parallel, they can choose between a more theoretical or statistical approach in their mathematics courses. This leads to a range of career prospects as well as the option to further their study in graduate school, such as McGill’s Quantitative Life Sciences program.
