What is Biological Physics ?

The Biological Physics program is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on building a strong foundation in physics while giving students to explore different facets of biology in which to apply their knowledge of physical skills. The program offers an in-depth and rigorous basis in mathematics and physics, assuring that the students will have a thorough background in theoretical concepts and laboratory methods. In terms of the biology courses, the student will learn the basics of physical molecular biology and is granted a degree of freedom in higher level courses to specialize in subjects that the student is interested in. This program provides the skills necessary for graduate studies in biophysics or a research career in industrial, hospital, or university settings.
