What is Quantitative Biology ?

Quantitative biology is a program that focuses on the interface of physics, mathematics, and biology. The program focuses on the quantitative aspects of all domains of biology through its two streams- Theoretical Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and Physical Biology. In the Theoretical Ecology and Evolutionary Biology stream, students will focus on the mathematical basis of evolution and ecological processes. Meanwhile, the Physical Biology stream focuses on the underlying physical mechanisms in cellular and molecular biology. Furthermore, this program offers a degree of flexibility for students to explore their interests while creating a solid foundation in both the physical and biological sciences which will prepare them for a variety of career paths after their degree.
